Broadcast media have been home to sports entertainment for many decades. As fans move into the online world, they are increasingly looking for sports content on the web as well. The challenge for teams and broadcasters is to meet the fans in cyberspace while developing new revenue models.

Course three looks at emerging markets for sports, and examines how several sporting franchises have met the challenge of finding fans in countries unfamiliar with the brand.

The availability and application of vast amounts of data has been one of the biggest changes in the business of sports in the last decade. From player performance to fan behavior to marketing statistics, data is driving the revolution in how sports business and team decisions are being made.

Go inside the stadium to learn about the large and varied team that makes gameday a reality for fans. Not only home to major league teams, stadiums and arenas are also important economic partners for corporate sponsors, and host a variety of small and large events.

Course six looks to the future of sports management and identifies emerging fields where exciting careers can be made. While a passion for sports is important, people with skills in data, social media, writing, and marketing will find many opportunities for employment.
